Doesn't Tequila have to be Made in Mexico?

Yes, that is correct.

Tequila has to be made with Blue Weber Agave within 5 Mexican states, and 100% agave tequila has to be produced and bottled in Mexico as well. 

So how is Don Levi Tequila a British Tequila?

Well, Don Levi Tequila was founded and based in Wales by our Founder, Jordan, a South Walian who has a passion for premium tequila.

While the tequila itself is produced in Mexico, Don Levi was created and based in Wales, making Don Levi Tequila a British-owned Tequila.

A Welsh Twist on Tequila

Eventually, we'd love to bring a Welsh influence to tequila one day.

Perhaps, one day we'll create a Reposado tequila aged in Welsh Whisky casks, or Welsh Wine casks.

We're not quite there yet, but it's certainly something we'd love to explore!

Two Cultures, One Tequila...

Don Levi Tequila is the combination of two cultures.

Our aim was to make a sipping, ultra-premium tequila that could be enjoyed neat and appreciated such as a premium Celtic Whiskey.

After receiving several awards and some lovely customer reviews, we believe we have done just that. 

But we didn't want to stop there.

We also wanted to have our own twist on the spirit. We started with the release of our Don Levi Rosa tequila, which is aged in port casks, and we have a few more ideas in the pipeline that we can't quite share yet.
